Tall Grass Catering now has free downtown delivery.
Tall Grass catering is focused on early morning breakfast choices, as well as snack platters during the mid morning and afternoon. Kickstart your event with delicious baking platters featuring our famous Tall Grass cinnamon buns, muffins, croissants, scones and more. Also choose from veggie, fruit and cheese trays as well as our many sweet treats.
Deliveries, including our free downtown delivery service (roughly a 2 km radius from The Forks), generally run weekdays from 7 am to 3 pm, except for larger pre-arranged events. Pick-up of baked items on weekends is always available.

Breakfasts and snacks
The main focus of catering at Tall Grass is on baked goods for morning meetings as well as snack breaks. We also have lovely platters of fruit, cheese or veggies.
For small breakfast and snack events we require 24 hour notice, and appreciate 48 hours. In an emergency, call us and see if we can make it work.
We cater meetings from 30 to 3000 people with our cinnamon buns, muffins, scones, squares, cookies and platters.
We put together delightful arrangements for business, government and educational meetings, and can also supply conferences and other larger events.
We generally do NOT cater coffee, lunches or suppers, except for larger events, by special arrangement. We require at least two weeks notice for these events, of 50 people and more.

Tall Grass Catering operates Monday to Friday. We will put together a delightful arrangement to meet your needs. Weekend catering for larger events can be negotiated with at least two weeks notice.

Breakfast Platter
Choose from fresh, out-of-the-oven mini versions of our cinnamon buns, muffins, biscuits and croissants.

A word on butter. In our experience at most 20% of people will use butter. To avoid unnecessary waste, we include 30% of butter and knives free of charge. Extra butter and knives may be purchased at cost.
Our traditionally-prepared house jams are available in 250ml jars for $6.95 per jar. For environmental reasons we do not supply our jam in portion cups. Enjoy any left-overs jam at home!
Savoury Breakfast Square
This catering-size version of our popular breakfast square is fingerfood friendly. Please allow 48 hour notice for any savoury square order.

Fresh fruit, vegetables or cheeses are beautifully arranged and offer a healthy alternative snack option. The fruit and vegetables we use are not necessarily organic. Veggie platters come with dip. We mostly use Manitoba Bothwell cheeses and our crackers are actually house made!

Try our Cheese and Cracker combination platters. If combining other food with any of these platters, a smaller size often works well.
Dessert Platter
Nothing brings smiles to a group like Tall Grass Prairie's famous sweet treats. Choose from lemon squares, date squares, brownies, cinnamon buns, fruit loaves and a range of yummy cookies. In general, a portion includes one square and 1.5 cookies. You can also just order squares and/or cookies.

NOTE: Coffee service is exclusively available for larger events of 50 people or more, and includes a pick-up fee for all carafes.
 Timing & Delivery
Our catering options are now focused on early morning breakfast options or snack platters during the mid morning and afternoon. Deliveries are available weekdays from 7 am to 3 pm. Late afternoon caterings need to be negotiated. Weekend delivery is not available, except for larger pre-arranged events, so pick-up of baked catering items on Saturday and Sunday is your option.
Catering office hours are Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM., through Wendy Elliott.
We appreciate 24 hour notice for all next-day caterings, but in an emergency next-day orders can be placed until 2 PM. Large events such as conferences, graduations, receptions, etc., need to be booked at least two weeks in advance.
Please allow for plus or minus 15 minutes when setting your delivery time. We do our best to deliver your order at your preferred time, but weather, traffic and coordination of parallel orders can affect timing.
We organize catering by available time slots, which can be reserved well ahead of your event. Delivery charges apply to downtown orders under $120, and city-wide orders under $250. After that, it's on us.
We reserve the right to request a minimum order.
 Payment
Prices are subject to change without notice. Taxes are not included in the pricing listed here. All catering is GST and PST taxable. Payment options: Cash – Cheque – Interac – Master Card – VISA, in person or over the phone. Invoicing is available for most catering.
